Kyushu University (Kyudai) is selling the rights to name Ito Campus’ Central Library. Companies and private organizations can earn the right to nickname the facility, which officially opens in October of this year. Successful applicants will be expected to be pay ¥100 million per year. The four-story building will hold approximately 3.5 million volumes, making it one of the largest university libraries in the country. Kyudai expects the library to welcome 600,000 visitors annually. Further details will be announced later, but it is believed that the deadline for bids will be in June.
