Kyushu Weddings Are The Most Expensive In Japan

Recruit Marketing Partners, the company that manages bridal magazine Zexy, revealed that on average, couples in Kyushu are currently spending more money on their wedding ceremonies and receptions than anywhere else in the country (out of 15 regions). The survey into recent wedding trends in Japan was conducted from April to June of this year. It was aimed at readers who got married from April 2016 to March 2017, and a total of 5,123 people replied, with 574 respondents in Kyushu. The average cost of a wedding ceremony and reception in Kyushu is now ¥3,794,000, approximately 2% higher than last year. In contrast, the national average has decreased by 1% to ¥3,548,000. The number of guests invited to a ceremony in Kyushu is 95, which is 25 more than the average for the rest of the country. Source: Nikkei Shimbun, 10/18/2017
