A marriage consultation service has been set up in Munakata City to help people settle into family life and combat population decrease. Located inside the Cocokara Hinosato exchange center in front of Togo Station, the Munakata Deai (Rendezvous) Support Center Junoall is a non-profit organization run in cooperation with public institutions and local companies. The center, which is the third base to open in northern Kyushu, is currently holding a special promotion offering newcomers free membership for a year. The campaign will last until the service has more than 2,000 registered members (the current figure stands at 1,701). Matchmaking events will be run by the NPO Yume Mirai (Dream Future) Nippon. The service has already helped more than 100 people find partners, with approximately 20 resulting in marriage. Source: Fukuoka Keizai Web, 10/7/2017 (first published 7/18/2017)
