Promoting Fukuoka Through Local Agriculture

Nishitetsu’s original Amaou Premium Sparkling Wine, which has been in production since 2013, returns. Made by the Kyoho Winery in Tanushimaru-machi, Kurume, and sold and marketed by Nishitetsu, an appealing aspect of the wine is the ingredients. The amaou strawberries are grown in local areas surrounding the railway line. Nishitetsu regularly promotes and sells products made with locally-sourced produce, and the sparkling wine will be on sale (750 ml bottles cost ¥2,840) from June 23 at the Nishitetsu Ensen Ekimiyage pop-up store, which also opened for a limited time at the Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) station last June.
