With demand surging for the resin films used in smartphones and touch panels, Showa Denko that it will operate a resin film plant at the industrial complex in Oita City. Plans call for the facility, the company’s first for this product, to begin operation in June 2011. They project the production capacity to be about 300,000 square meters of film a year.
