A new international bicycle race will be held in the Kyushu-Yamaguchi area from 2023.The Kyushu Regional Strategy Council, which currently discusses the matter, aims to hold the event under the approval of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI.) The multi-day competition will invite pro-cyclists worldwide to a course that features sightseeing spots such as Akiyoshidai, one of the nation’s most extensive karst plateau located in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
