An ume festival will be held at Maizuru Park to celebrate the beautiful plum blossom (ume) season. Around 250 trees inside Maizuru’s plum orchard are scheduled to come into bloom as the city moves into the spring months. You can buy flower seedlings and enjoy a traditional Japanese monkey show.
