Kyushu-based banks reported increased revenue for FY 2020

Over 60% of the local banks in Kyushu and Yamaguchi reported increased net revenues for 2020. Twenty regional banks have recently notified consolidated accounts for the 2021 March term. While thirteen firms secured more significant revenues than the year before or returned to black, others couldn’t overcome the impact of the increased credit costs amid the new coronavirus pandemic. Nine of the regional banks anticipate reduced revenues for the 2022 March term. Source: Sankei
