Moji Customs reported that over 20,000 counterfeit goods were seized between January and June this year, a 48% decrease from the same period last year. Among the seized items, 10,575 were trademark-infringing products such as bags and shoes, while 9,239 were copyright-infringing items like fake character goods. China accounted for 87% of the counterfeit items, followed by Vietnam and Indonesia. Officials warn consumers to be cautious when purchasing online, especially when prices are suspiciously low or Japanese text on the site appears incorrect. Source: Moji Customs / NHK
