Ahead of China’s Lunar New Year holiday, a cruise ship carrying approximately 1,800 Chinese tourists docked at Hakata Port on January 27. Passengers disembarked to visit local attractions such as Kushida Shrine in Fukuoka City and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, enjoying sightseeing and shopping.
This marks the first of four cruise ships expected during the Spring Festival period, which runs until February 4. According to Fukuoka City, this year’s figure is one vessel more than the previous year.
