Krispy Kreme Doughnuts opened its new Canal City Hakata store on May 20, featuring an in-store “Donut Theater” where customers can watch the donut-making process up close. The store offers fresh “Original Glazed®” donuts made on-site, giving visitors the chance to enjoy them straight from the production line.
This is the brand’s second location in Fukuoka since returning to Kyushu after a nine-year absence, following the April 24 opening at ONE FUKUOKA BLDG., which drew long lines and strong local enthusiasm.
To mark the grand opening, the Canal City store is running a limited-time “Welcome Donut” campaign from May 20 to May 25, giving one freshly made Original Glazed® donut to each customer who makes a purchase between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., while supplies last. Additionally, a special Grand Opening Box featuring six assorted donuts is available in limited quantities (50 sets daily) until May 26 for ¥1,400 (¥1,426 for eat-in).
The store also debuts Krispy Kreme’s Japan-developed “Kome-dough” series and other locally crafted offerings such as the “Brûlée Glazed” line. Source: Krispy Kreme Doughnut
