AirAsia Malaysia will introduce a daily Fukuoka–Taipei–Kota Kinabalu route on 15 August 2025 using 186-seat Airbus A320neo aircraft under fifth-freedom rights. Flight AK1511 leaves Fukuoka at 17:00, reaches Taipei at 18:30, then departs at 19:15 to arrive in Kota Kinabalu at 22:50; the return AK1510 departs Kota Kinabalu at 07:40, lands in Taipei at 10:55, and reaches Fukuoka at 15:15 (Friday Taipei timings shift by five minutes). The service is the carrier’s first Japanese route and makes Fukuoka its 79th destination.
