Ahead of the summer holiday season when school lunches are unavailable, the NPO Food Bank Kitakyushu Life Again has prepared food boxes for economically struggling households with children. On July 8, about 20 people including volunteers packed boxes with approximately 7 kilograms of donated items such as instant rice, packaged meals, and snacks. The food, contributed by individuals and companies, will be distributed from July 14 to around 1,400 households that applied in advance. The organization hopes the food will offer both nourishment and encouragement to families in need. Source: NPO Food Bank Kitakyushu Life Again / NHK
