The annual summer festival returns to Hakata Station Plaza! Kicking off with a traditional sprinkling of water to cool the evening air, the event features classic festival games like super ball scooping and yo-yo fishing that children can enjoy alongside adults. On stage, there will be live performances including taiko drumming and singing. Festival-goers can also enjoy food stalls serving favorites such as yakisoba, takoyaki, shaved ice, and alcoholic beverages. Everyone is invited to join in the Bon Odori dance around a large central tower (yagura) and enjoy the nostalgic charm of a traditional Japanese summer festival.
