Gran Turismo World Series 2025 World Finals to be Held in Fukuoka

The Gran Turismo World Series (GTWS) 2025 World Finals will take place in Fukuoka on Dec 20 and 21, marking the first time the event is held in Japan. The championship, based on the popular Gran Turismo 7 video game, has become a major fixture in global motorsports since its launch in 2018. Fukuoka will host the final round of the series following previous events in London, Berlin, and Los Angeles.

The two-day finale will be held at the Fukuoka International Congress Center. On Saturday, Dec 20, teams from 12 top-ranked manufacturers—including official partners Toyota and Mazda—will compete in the Manufacturers Cup. Each team consists of three drivers selected from regional qualifiers across Europe/Middle East/Africa, the Americas, and Asia-Oceania. The Nations Cup will follow on Sunday, Dec 21, with 12 elite drivers representing their respective countries or territories, including top qualifiers and seeded entrants from the previous season.

The event will be hosted by Formula 1 sports announcer Sascha Boeckle and UK presenter Jules Hardy, offering commentary in both Japanese and English. Admission details are yet to be announced.

The World Finals will be held in conjunction with the Japan Mobility Show Fukuoka 2025, an exhibition showcasing the latest in automotive design and technology. The show runs from Dec 18 to 21 at Marine Messe Fukuoka. Source: Gran Turismo
