Why Global? Why Startups Go International
Why do startups choose to expand globally? In this session, startups already pursuing overseas markets, business incubation specialists familiar with both domestic and international ecosystems, and representatives from local government initiatives such as “Global Connect” discuss the real reasons behind going global. Together, they break down key questions: why global expansion matters now, when and how startups should begin, where companies tend to struggle, and how the current environment in Japan and abroad is shifting.

This session is aimed at startups interested in global opportunities, as well as those gathering information but still unclear about the bigger picture or how to take the first step. Participants will gain practical insights and clarity to help shape their next moves.

Speakers:
• Daikichi Seki, CEO, aiESG
• Hiroaki Tokunaga, Director, Global Connect Fukuoka (Fukuoka Prefectural Government)
• Alex Taisuke Odajima, Japan Country Manager, Start2 Group
• Nayo Komiyazawa, Representative, Well-being Society LLC
