Saga Prefecture announced a ¥5.5 billion supplementary budget on 19 November to fund staff pay increases and expand technology use in nursing care. About ¥3.5 billion will go to salary adjustments, while ¥160 million will boost subsidies for ICT tools and care robots through the SAGA Care Work Efficiency Support Center. Another ¥120 million is set aside to develop “Nest Village,” a U-15 training base for Sagan Tosu under the SSP initiative. Two new ¥6 million projects will support outdoor programs for people with disabilities and marine plastic awareness and cleanup in northern coastal areas. After the revision, the prefecture’s general account will total ¥533.5 billion, down 1.7% from a year earlier. Source: Saga Prefecture
