Police arrested two male high school students, aged 15 and 16, for allegedly puncturing a bicycle tire at Namiki Square in Fukuoka’s Higashi Ward on October 30. Both admitted the act, and one said he acted out of frustration after his own bicycle had been damaged previously. Investigators believe they used an awl and identified them from security-camera footage. Around 100 bicycles in the area were similarly damaged around the same period, and police are examining links to the broader series of incidents. Source: KBC
