Hoshino Resorts to Open First Fukuoka Hotel

After months of speculation and earlier reports, Hoshino Resorts has officially announced it will open its first hotel in Fukuoka Prefecture, confirming plans to launch “BEB5 Mojiko by Hoshino Resorts” in Kitakyushu’s Mojiko Retro district on July 24, 2026. Reservations began on Dec. 15. The casual “BEB” brand targets group travelers, with room rates starting at ¥6,600 per night and a fixed-price plan for guests aged 29 and under regardless of season or weekday. The 10-story hotel will have 119 rooms, all facing the Kanmon Straits, and a 24-hour shared lounge on the top floor that allows guests to bring their own food and drinks. Lower floors will host nine planned retail and dining tenants. City officials said the project represents a major boost for Kitakyushu, helping address a long-standing shortage of accommodation in an area often visited on day trips.
