Kyushu Semiconductor Consortium to Launch Joint Logistics in April

The Kyushu Semiconductor Human Resource Development and Related Consortium, an industry–academia–government organization aimed at strengthening the region’s semiconductor industry base, announced that it will begin joint transportation of materials among participating companies in April next year. The initiative will leverage the logistics networks of major corporations, establishing a central “center hub” and four regional hubs in Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, and Kagoshima prefectures. Semiconductor materials, packaging materials, and related items will be transported by truck. By reducing logistics costs and enhancing regional competitiveness, the consortium aims to attract additional domestic and international investment to Kyushu. Source: FIBA
