JR Kyushu Launches Real-Time Train Information Service “Train Navi”

JR Kyushu announced it would launch a new smartphone service, “JR Kyushu Train Navi,” on January 26 to provide passengers with detailed real-time train operation information. The service shows departure times, stopping stations, delays, cancellations, and the current location of trains, offering more detailed data than the company’s existing app. Platform numbers and updated departure information are also displayed to support smoother travel. The service will initially cover eight lines, including the Kagoshima, Sasaguri, and Nagasaki lines. Train Navi supports five languages, including English and Korean, aiming to assist commuters, students, and passengers unfamiliar with specific routes or transfers. JR Kyushu said the service was designed to address common passenger concerns and improve overall convenience. Source: JR Kyushu / KBC News
