Marking its 10th anniversary in 2026, this festival introduces visitors to Taiwan’s night market culture through food and a festive atmosphere. Inspired by Taiwan’s largest annual celebration, Lunar New Year, and the Tainan Lantern Festival, it takes place at the West Fureai Square of Fukuoka City Hall Fureai Hiroba.

The venue features classic night market dishes such as fried spring rolls, pan-fried xiaolongbao, mee sua noodles, and oversized fried chicken cutlets (da ji pai). Regionally inspired offerings are also planned, including a “Tainan Set” combining danzai noodles and spring rolls, along with drinks made using fruit from Tainan. Taiwanese-style massage and souvenir booths selling items such as Taiwanese tea offer opportunities to experience Taiwanese culture beyond food. Lantern decorations fill the venue, creating a vibrant Lunar New Year atmosphere after sunset. Admission is free; payment is cash only.
