Kyushu And India Chambers Sign MoU To Expand Business Ties

The Kyushu Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Fukuoka to expand economic cooperation between the regions. The signing ceremony took place on March 10 at the Consulate General of India, which opened in the city last year. The Kyushu federation represents 78 chambers across Kyushu and Okinawa and said the agreement will strengthen coordination among regional businesses seeking opportunities in India’s growing economy. Representatives from both organizations highlighted the importance of deeper Japan–India economic cooperation. Officials also noted that India’s complex business environment can make market entry difficult for small and medium-sized Japanese companies. The federation hopes the memorandum will promote business negotiations, corporate exchanges, and broader commercial partnerships. Source: NHK News / Yomiuri Shimbun
