Ohori Remains Fukuoka’s Top Residential Area

Ohori 1-chome in Fukuoka City’s Chuo Ward remained the prefecture’s most expensive residential area for the 44th consecutive year, according to land price data released on March 17. The area recorded the highest price and growth rate in the prefecture, reaching ¥1.49 million per square meter. Demand remains strong, particularly among affluent buyers, with new condominiums in the area selling quickly despite high prices. Some units exceed ¥100 million, and a recently reported property in central Fukuoka sold for ¥1 billion. Limited land availability and continued interest in high-end housing are supporting prices. Analysts say demand for both primary residences and investment properties remains firm, with expectations that prices will stay elevated in the near term. Source: TNC News (FNN) / RKB (TBS News Dig)
