Kyushu-Hokkaido Chip Alliance Expands

Fukuoka Financial Group and Hokuhoku Financial Group signed a partnership agreement on June 17 aimed at strengthening ties between semiconductor industries in Kyushu and Hokkaido. The agreement is designed to support business expansion by Kyushu companies in Hokkaido as Rapidus moves toward future mass production. Fukuoka FG, which serves about 680 semiconductor-related clients, has developed a database of industry expertise and production processes through group company FFG Industries and startup Catallaxy. The information may be shared with Hokuhoku FG to encourage business matching and investment opportunities. Both groups also plan to hold seminars and technical exchange events while sharing information on industrial parks and corporate recruitment. The partnership reflects growing cooperation between Japan’s major semiconductor development regions. Source: Nikkei / Fukuoka Financial Group
