Miyazaki City will launch a trial direct bus service between Miyazaki Airport and the popular resort area of Aoshima from July 1 through September 30. The project aims to improve transportation convenience and attract more visitors to the coastal destination. The route will take about 20 minutes and will make only one intermediate stop at ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki. Nine daily departures will operate from the airport and eight from Aoshima. One-way fares are ¥700 for adults and ¥350 for elementary school students, with both cash and transportation IC cards accepted. The city, tourism association, and operator Miyazaki Kotsu will review ridership and feedback before deciding whether to continue the service. Source: Nikkei / Miyazaki Kotsu
