Fukuoka City on September 8 unveiled detailed plans to redevelop the site of Fukuoka Parco, which is scheduled to close in February 2027. A 22-story mixed-use tower with four basement levels is expected to be completed by the end of 2031 at a projected cost of ¥123 billion. The building will rise about 110 meters and have roughly 140,000 square meters of total floor space. A hotel will occupy floors 16 through 22, with offices on floors 8 through 15. Retail facilities and cultural venues, including a live music hall, will be placed on the lower and underground levels.
