Nishitetsu’s Nimoca transit card service has confirmed that unauthorized access exposed personal information for 521 users. The leaked data included card numbers, dates of birth and email addresses. Names, addresses, phone numbers, gender and travel histories were not leaked. Nine customers reported unexpected registration emails on Oct. 4, prompting the company to suspend the affected inquiry service that afternoon. Nimoca cards can still be used normally.
