Toho Village Hoshuyama Hotaru Festival
Known as Fukuoka’s top firefly spot, prime viewing is from late May to mid-June, and festival on June 7. Local food stalls, an event stage with live hula, Taishokoto and bands and, of course, glowing fireflies in the night’s sky. Shuttle bus from JR Hoshuyama available during the festival.
