Adventure English School is looking for a qualified native English teacher to fill a full-time position at our school starting from the end of March 2024.
The school is located in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, just a one-minute walk from Akama station on the Kagoshima-Honsen JR line (about a 30-minute train ride from Hakata station, Fukuoka City).
Applicants should:
hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline
be willing to commit to a one-year contract
be enthusiastic and energetic
possess previous teaching experience
Assets include:
experience teaching children
basic computer skills for completing lesson plans and reports
Contract details:
A fixed salary of 250,000 yen/month (3,000,000 yen/year)
Teachers work five days a week. The school is closed on Sundays.
Day-to-day schedules may vary. Weekday classes can start as early as 2 pm and finish as late as 9:30 pm. Weekend classes can start as early as 11 am and finish as late as 6:30 pm.
Teachers teach a maximum of 26 hours/per week. Overtime is paid to teachers who exceed that limit.
Students range in age from toddlers to adults.
Paid holidays include Golden Week, Obon (mid-August), and two weeks for Christmas/New Year’s. Teachers also receive an additional five days of paid holiday to be used during the contract year.
Transportation costs along the Kagoshima Line will be fully reimbursed.
The contract may be renewed for another year following a successful evaluation.
Teachers will receive a completion bonus of 60,000 yen at the end of the contract.
