The Kenjo Dochu celebrates Hakata-ori, used to make obi (traditional belts) and one of Japan’s finest textiles. The procession is led by a Hakata Geigi (geisha). Expect men holding lanterns, women in formal kimono and traditional music played on the shamisen (lute) and fue (flute). It’s the perfect place to wear a yukata!
