Visited by 30,000 people each year, this is one of Hakata’s finest events. Over 40,000 lanterns handmade by the local community will light up the area’s shrines, temples, and streets. Enjoy a magical stroll around Hakata at night, and look out for vantage points to see artfully arranged lanterns on the ground.
