3.11 Candle Night Walk in Fukuoka

Mourn the victims of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami at this candlelit walk hosted by Yume Circle, a volunteer group in Fukuoka that helps areas affected by natural disasters. Everyone is welcome to join at any point on the walk, and participants will receive a candle, a hat with “3.11” printed upon it and a hachimaki (headband). Those who wish to join the walk from the start should meet at Fureai Hiroba (in front of City Hall) by 18:00. The route will pass along Kokutai-doro and Taihaku-dori, finishing in front of JR Hakata Sta.
