Fukuoka Seiryo High School is a municipal high school administered by Fukuoka City and is the only high school in the city with a full orchestra. It currently has 103 active members led by conductor Kazuhiro Masuda. They were the only high school to represent Kyushu in the “25th All Japan High School Orchestra Festa” held in Tokyo last year. Witness their spirit of youth and passion at ACROS Fukuoka as they perform “Feste Romane,” the magnificent, large-scale symphonic poem written by Italy’s Ottorino Respighi. They will also play with solo violinist Daichi Nakamura, who was the first Japanese to win the top prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition. Look forward their joint performance of “Carmen Fantasy,” written by Pablo de Sarasante, a classical piece known for its masterly violin section.
