“Umakamon” is Hakata-ben (Hakata dialect) for “oishiimono” or delicious food. True to its meaning, at this festival you can shop for 64 of Fukuoka’s tastiest, freshest and most popular “umakamon” local delicacies! Food on offer include sweets made with Fukuoka Amaou strawberries, mentaiko, tetsunabe gyoza, and special spring season food items. And don’t miss geisha performances (3/27 at these times: 11:00~11:20, 13:00~13:20) by Hakata Kenban.
