47th Fukuoka City Art Competition will be held from March 12 – March 24, 2013. The residents of Fukuoka metropolitan area and within the city limits were invited to submit art in the seven categories. Pieces selected for the contest will be shown in this exhibition in two brackets. The first bracket from Mar. 12~17 includes Western style painting, sculpture and applied arts. The Second bracket from Mar. 19~24 includes Japanese style painting, calligraphy, photography and graphic arts.
