This autumn festival celebrates the legend of famous Heian Period poet and politician Sugawara no Michizane’s scaling Mount Tenpaizan in order to cleanse his soul. The event will include various rituals, a special fire relay, kagaku (traditional court-style music) performance, shows, and a fireworks display! A bazaar will also be set up, giving any peckish visitors the chance to grab a bite to eat.
