Keiko Nasu is a Tokyo-based artist who was born and raised in Fukuoka City. Nasu is currently active both inside and outside of Japan. She started as an illustrator/painter while engaged in various other fields, such as event planning, exhibition-related work, and DJ-ing. “Life” occupies a central theme in her stunning abstract paintings, which have been shown at venues in Japan, New York, Paris, and Zurich. Top photographer and fellow Fukuoka-native Masayoshi Sukita will help introduce this upcoming event along with Kenjiro Fukamachi, one of the leading figures in the local music scene. In keeping with Nasu’s love of music, the exhibit will feature portraits of famous artists such as David Bowie. Depictions of Fukuoka City will also be displayed alongside images of Japanese landscapes and scenery from further afield.
