Events

One of Kyushu’s largest sake and food events, “& SAKE FUKUOKA,” is organized by the Fukuoka Prefecture Sake Brewers Association and drew over 12,000 visitors across two days last year. Thirty-nine breweries from within the prefecture will exhibit their sake, joined by 27 popular Fukuoka restaurants offering sushi, Japanese cuisine, yakitori, ramen, and more to welcome guests.

This year’s theme is “ART / GRAPHIC & SAKE,” with artwork produced by New York–based street artist Dragon76, adding to the event’s striking spatial design.

The venue is laid out like a giant tavern, with a raised DJ booth resembling a festival tower at the center, surrounded by booths from each participating brewery. Brewers themselves will be on hand to pour drinks, offering visitors the chance to ask about each sake’s characteristics and how to choose.

Tickets are available in advance or on the day. Advance tickets can be purchased through Lawson Ticket or directly from participating breweries and restaurants. Inside the venue, drinks and food are exchanged using coins included with admission.

Tips: While general eating areas are available, those who want guaranteed seating can purchase a reserved table ticket (up to six people, 2.5 hours). These tables, located on the second floor, allow groups to relax and enjoy sake and food bought at the event.

Whether visiting alone, with friends, or hoping to meet new people, this event offers many ways to enjoy sake and gourmet food. Purchasing a reserved table with friends to share drinks in a lively setting is also recommended.
