Bayside Place opens it’s annual “Fugu Goya” blowfish hut on June 1. With a casual, beer garden atmosphere, Fuku Goya promotes Hakata’s blowfish industry by offering a menu with special dishes such as grilled blowfish (¥840), fried blowfish (¥630) and blowfish hotpot (¥735). The food goes well with beer or shochu, and don’t forget to try “Amaou Noble Sweet” a Fukuoka strawberry beer. Last year, approx. 6,000 people attended over the 1.5 month period that the Fuku Goya was open. Make a reservation before arriving, to avoid disappointment.
