“BLUE WAY – The Blue Path We Create” is a participatory art festival that transforms the approach to Hakozaki Shrine into a vivid blue walkway. This final edition is themed “And Then.” Fukuoka-based artist Ginsoda, known for her signature use of blue, will create a large-scale live painting along the shrine’s path. The event reflects on the transformation of Hakozaki amid redevelopment of the former Kyushu University site, inviting new perspectives and expanding a circle of creativity rooted in the local community. Workshops including blueprint-making and indigo dyeing, as well as food and drink stalls, will also be featured.
