Cormorant Fishing at Harazuru Onsen

Cormorant fishing (ukai) is a traditional fishing method in which fishermen work with cormorants to catch sweetfish (ayu) from their boats. Watch the action at night as the fishermen navigate their boats with lanterns. Viewers can take in the action from the comfort of tour boats which follow along the fishermen’s boats for 50 minutes on the Chikugo-gawa River. Don’t miss this rare experience!
