Cultural Experience at the Summer Festival
At the summer festival of the Kawabata Shopping Street, origami, furoshiki wrapping, wind chime making, hair ornament crafting, and painting of Hakata dolls are offered. This is an enjoyable experience for visitors from abroad as well.

Lantern Painting Experience
Established in 1895, Kadota Lantern Shop, which has created countless lanterns indispensable to Hakata culture, including the Hakata Gion Yamakasa, offers a lantern painting experience. Paint your favorite letters or illustrations on a lantern (11:00~18:00, ¥3,300 per person). You can take your lantern home, making it a great souvenir.
