The “Kurume Kasuri Ai, Ai, Deai (Indigo, Love, Encounter) Festival,” as the Kasuri event is affectionately known, has been revamped for its 25th anniversary with the theme of “discovery”. Twenty-four Kurume Kasuri weavers and wholesalers gather to hold one of the largest festivals in Japan for the traditional craft of Kurume Kasuri. 60 new patterns are displayed, and Kurume Kasuri items such as cloth cuttings, clothes, and bags are all gathered together. There are many fans who visit every year for the bargains and special prices. You can also look forward to a red carpet fashion show where you can discover new ways to coordinate your Kurume Kasuri. A free shuttle bus will run every 30 minutes between the venue and Kurume Station on the JR and Nishitetsu lines.
