Experience the harmonious worlds of two artists: Sakamoto Sou, a ceramist working in Onta, a pottery hub with a 300-year lineage guarded by three families (Kuroki, Yanase, and Sakamoto); and Masa, a Fukuoka-born woodworking artisan living in Canada. The exhibition showcases Sakamoto’s tea bowls made using Onta clay, and Masa’s chopsticks crafted from various global woods. Feel the connective spirit of these distant creators at a cozy café in Hita. Sakamoto Sou will be present on October 5th, and Masa will be in attendance from October 5th to 7th.
