Japanese drum group Drum Tao is back in Fukuoka! Performing in over 500 cities worldwide to more than 8 million spectators, ranking top three on iTunes in five countries when they debuted into Universal Music and sold out for all their stages in NY Off Broadway, no doubt that they are internationally famous. By using the combination of wadaiko (Japanese drums), koto (harp-like instruments) and shinobue (bamboo flutes) with tate (theatrical combat) and 3D projection, they perform feats of exceptional musical and acrobatic ability. They perform on over 700 stages in one year with 3 teams. With the theme of shippu (hurricane) this year, they’ll blow through the stage with their fast, heart-thumping beats.
