Held in the heart of the Chikugo Plain, Tachiarai Town’s Edamame Harvest Festival celebrates one of the region’s prized crops. Known for its rich aroma and full flavor, freshly harvested edamame will be available alongside other seasonal produce. This year, sweet corn with a high sugar content makes its debut. Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including local food stalls, bingo games, and a boiled edamame grab challenge for children of elementary school age and younger. Plus, shoppers will receive a free serving of freshly boiled edamame with purchases at select booths.
