Bordeaux, France, a famous wine-producing region, is a sister city of Fukuoka City. At this year’s Fukuoka Bordeaux Wine Festival, the fifth such event, stalls imported from Europe, will be set up to create the atmosphere of the port city of Bordeaux. A total of 100 kinds of Bordeaux wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling crémant, will be available by the glass during the festival. Wine by the glass is available from ¥500 (cash-on basis), and popular restaurants in Fukuoka will be selling food to enjoy the marriage of wine and food. Let’s celebrate the 40th anniversary of the sister city’s relationship with Bordeaux wines!
