Celebrate the sister city relationship of Fukuoka and Bordeaux! This three-day event will take place in central Tenjin, where Bordeaux wine (including bottles that cannot be found in Japan) paired with delicious Japanese cuisine will be on offer. With the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB or Bordeaux Wine Council) as one of the festival’s joint sponsors, visitors can be assured that the wine will be of the highest quality. Limited wine available, so don’t miss it! Live performances and special illumination from 17:00, too. You can also drop by the first floor of the city hall where an exhibit on Bordeaux will be on display. Around 20 locations throughout Fukuoka, including Nishitetsu Grand Hotel, Hotel Nikko Fukuoka, and Mariera Cruise Ship will also be taking part in the celebrations throughout the month by offering Bordeaux wine on their menu!
