Next month, Fukuoka will host the 8th festival of early music (comprising music from the Medieval through to the Renaissance and Baroque period). The event brings together musicians and enthusiasts who are active in Japan’s early music scene. An Italian Baroque concert (October 15th / doors open: 18:00 / tickets: ¥3,500) is scheduled to take place along with seminars and workshops explaining the styles of music that were performed more than 300 years ago. Another stage will feature a lineup of various musical acts performing one after another. Musical instruments and panels will also be on display at the festival. The dates and fees differ depending on the event, so please check the official website for more details about participating.
